FamilyFriendlyPubsUK is a directory website that helps families find pubs across the UK that are welcoming to children and have family-friendly facilities and atmosphere.

Pub owners or managers can apply to be listed by submitting their details via our “List Your Pub” (or equivalent) form. We review submissions to ensure the pub meets our criteria for being family-friendly (e.g., children’s menu, play area, accessible facilities).

If you are a member of the public and you favourite pub isn’t listed, or details are incorrect, please contact us and we will add or update information after verification.

We have three categories for pubs:

Adults Only – there is little provision for children. Great for those who want a night away from the kids!

Family Friendly – Children are welcome, but there may be some restrictions on access, or limited play facilities.

Child Friendly – Children of all ages are welcome and these pubs go the extra mile to accommodate them.

Yes — our directory allows filters such as region (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland), whether the pub has a children’s menu, an indoor/outdoor play area, baby-changing facilities, high chairs etc.

Your pub can have a free listing. If you want to publicise your events, connect your social media accounts of have patrons book online through your online booking links, these packages start at £10 per year.

Yes — families can submit feedback, reviews or ratings of their visits. This helps other users decide which pubs are suitable and encourages pubs to maintain high standards.

We rely on both pub submissions and user-feedback. We encourage listing owners to update their details regularly and ask users to flag outdated or incorrect information so we can review it.

Each directory listing includes the pub’s contact details (address, phone, map). You can contact the pub directly for bookings, specific queries or special needs.

Paid listings also have the pub’s website and online booking systems (if they have one).

You can suggest the pub via our “Suggest a Pub” or “Add Your Pub” form. We’ll review the submission and contact them to ask for the required details to add them to the directory.

Although each pub is categorised as either ‘Adult Only’, ‘Family Friendly’ or ‘Child Friendly’ based on our criteria, you can also search for pubs with gastro nights, pool tables, waterside beer gardens, live music nights etc. etc.
