The Old Black Horse is a traditional country pub and kitchen located in Mapperley Village on the edge of Shipley Country Park. We serve food 6 days a week, including our famous ‘Carvery’ Sunday lunches and Wednesday ‘Pie Night.’ Our head chef, Tony, uses fresh ingrediants to create the delicious dishes on our menu, and his ever changing specials boards.

We are a ‘Free House’ which means we are completely independent and not tied to any brewery, allowing us to bring you a great selection of drinks from all over the world, including local real ales, specialist gins, and international wines.
