The White Horse is a traditional pub in the village of Upper Poppleton, minutes from the beautiful city of York. Steeped in history, the pub has always played an integral part of village life, dating back from as early as 1793. From being the premises of a shoemaker, brewing stills of mint to help with ailments, and even being a biker’s paradise in the 1970’s, The White Horse has welcomed everyone over the years.

Today, the pub is run by Chris and Maria from York, who have been welcoming their customers for nearly four years.
